Judged pornographic by Nigerian state radio, which banned its presenters from playing it, the title track describes in frank, and some might say frankly tedious, detail the mechanics of how a man should have sex with a woman. Shock value aside, it is one of Fela’s least interesting lyrics - few things, surely, are as boring as watching other people have sex, but listening to other people describing it is one of them. But, hey, Na Poi sold well, was a floor filler and raised Fela’s profile. Originally released by EMI.
