A kind of Part Two to 1974’s “Alagbon Close,” the title track here focuses in more detail (and with more humour) on the police’s attempt to nail Fela for possession of weed following the May 1974 raid on Kalakuta Republic. Fela was taken to CID headquarters and interviewed by a succession of goons, who failed to get him to fess up. He was eventually taken in front of the ranking officer, who told him "I'm going to talk to you in my office...." "You get office?" Fela asked sarcastically. "You foolish stupid bastard. You low-down sonofabitch, you dog, you goat…." Fela spent the next three days in detention, while the police waited for him to produce an incriminating "sample." But he and his cell mates swapped their slop buckets around and eventually, lacking any tangible evidence, the police had to let him go. Originally released by Soundwork Shop.

Standard black vinyl LP, released in 2014 as part of the Knitting Factory Records re-issues, comes with a download card.
